What is post-treatment method? Post-treatment is an essential stage of additive manufacturing. It’s the last step in the manufacturing process, where the blank glass receives finishing touches such as fired decal or spray color, engraving laser and so on. The glass samples will be decorated in various post-treatment ways. Quite rightly, the different post-treatment will be the different price.
Sometimes a glass can be applied in one or more post-treatment ways at the same time. Usually, it depends on customer’s requirement and application. let’s list the various post-treatment methods as follows:
1. Spray Color
As showing in the following video colors are produced on the surface of the glass by spraying the color material with an airbrush.
2. Fired Decal
First clean the glass, and then paste the decal on the glass, and bake it in the tunnel kiln, so that the glass and the decals are combined.
3. Gold-rim or Silver-rim
Line the edge of the glass with a gold edge or silver edge.
4. Electroplate
The following picture shows the appearance of the glass Storage JAR electroplated into gold. Gerenally, electroplating is a single color.
5. Ion Plating
Ion plating can achieve a variety of color effects.
6. Laser Engraving
Use laser technology to carve words or logos on the glass. More details please click the link: https://youtube.com/shorts/4bS7SfqIxis

8. Hand-painting
The paint is hand-painted to the glass surface and sent to the tunnel kiln for baking.
9. Acid Corrosion
The glass is dipped in diluted fluoric acid, which eats away at the glass surface to achieve a frosted effect. It is then washed clean and packaged.
10. Sand-blast
More and more customer choose to laser engraving instead of sand-blast.
